In April 2022, over 1,100 donors gave $540,085 in donations and pledges, advancing our shared vision of creating safe and legal opportunities for the beneficial uses of psychedelics. We are profoundly grateful for your gifts!
Donors supported the following initiatives in April: general support ($373,254); Psychedelic Science 2023 event sponsorship ($150,000); Health Equity ($15,200); MDMA-related projects ($1,343); and harm reduction ($288).
We extend a special thank you to our community of 882 monthly donors who contributed a total of $31,593 in April. You make MAPS’ programs sustainable.
In April, two individuals included MAPS in their legacy planning in the form of a planned gift or bequest. These gifts were made with the help of FreeWill, a free online tool that allows U.S.-based individuals to plan a legacy gift for the non-profit of their choosing.
We are honored to support a number of mission-aligned organizations by providing fiscal sponsorship so donors to their social benefit projects may receive tax benefits. Donors gave $13,585 to fiscally-sponsored organizations: Empyrean Temple ($5,665); Brooklyn Psychedelic Society ($5,000); Pearl Psychedelic Institute ($1,655); Bluelight ($835); Alma Institute ($125); ICEERS ($100); People of Color Psychedelic Collective ($60); North Star Project ($50); Ayahuasca Foundation ($40); The Psychedelic Renaissance ($35); and MAPS Canada ($20).
