Cannabis Now and in Your Future is an on-campus colloquium about the current and future state of cannabis research and policy. Interdisciplinary and multifaceted, a panel of distinguished professors, doctors, researchers, and advocates will discuss the state of current research into the health risks and benefits of cannabis. The Brain, Mind, and Consciousness Society, in collaboration with Students for Sensible Drug Policy, will ensure an open and honest dialogue. He is a frequent lecturer on “Medical Cannabis: Medicine, Politics, and Law” and founder of MedicalBoardWatch.com. Valerie Corral co-founded the Wo/Men’s Alliance for Medical Marijuana in Santa Cruz and co-authored P215, the Compassionate Use Act. Craig Reinarman, Ph.D is a Professor of Sociology at U.C. Santa Cruz. His edited anthology Crack in America: Demon Drugs and Social Justice is the definitive book on crack cocaine and drug policy in America. Berra Yazar- Klosinski, Ph.D received her degree from UC Santa Cruz in Molecular Biology. She serves as Lead Clinical Research Associate for the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS). Charles Shaw is an award-winning journalist, editor, and author of the critically-acclaimed memoir Exile Nation: Drugs, Prisons, Politics & Spirituality. adasd
