Christy Merts, Training Coordinator (MAPS PBC)

Christy Merts earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2015 and a master’s degree in instructional design from Florida State University in 2017. Prior to joining the MAPS Public Benefit Corporation (MAPS PBC), she worked as a training coordinator for a software company where she helped run a successful train-the-trainer program, created curriculum, and facilitated classroom style and virtual training sessions for the Oregon Driver and Motor Vehicle Services.
At MAPS PBC, Christy is currently serving as a training coordinator, focusing on supporting the operations, event planning, and developing instructional handouts for the MDMA Therapy Training Program.
Christy is thrilled to be joining MAPS PBC at such a critical time and contributing to the MDMA Therapy Training Program. She is motivated by MAPS’ mission to revolutionize the way we treat and heal mental illness.
Christy strives to continuously improve herself and create a space for others that encourages authenticity, empathy, and self-improvement. In her free time, Christy enjoys spending time doing everything that she can outside: running, camping, climbing, and hiking with friends. She also enjoys experimenting with cooking different meals and can be found constantly drinking coffee and listening to podcasts.
