Faisal is a general physician who earned a medical degree from Poznan University of Medical sciences in Poland in 2006 and went on thereafter to complete his internship training in 2008 at a community hospital program in the state of Wielkopolskie, Poland.
Prior to joining MAPS Public Benefit Corporation (MPBC), Faisal has worked for over 12 years in clinical and research-based medicine, beginning as a general physician in a rural family practice setting in Germany, providing healthcare management to patients spanning from adolescent to geriatric age. Faisal eventually moved to the Bay Area in 2016 and joined the San Francisco Clinical Research center as a clinical research coordinator and cognitive rater to streamline a variety of clinical research protocols within the field of neurology that included Alzheimer’s disease, migraine headaches, cognitive impairment and Parkinson’s disease. Faisal subsequently transitioned into academia in 2018 at the University of California, San Francisco as a lead clinical researcher at the department of orthopedic surgery, where he contributed to and managed studies in the therapeutic areas of spinal deformity, chronic back pain, and non-surgical back pain modalities.
Faisal has always been passionate about the study of cognitive behavior and its associated generational ramifications, as well as the key role in which psychedelics will play in revolutionizing the mental health landscape.
In Faisal’s free time, he loves swimming, surfing, reading and spending time in nature or with his family.
