Todd Smith, Brand Lead and Head of Marketing (MAPS PBC)

Todd served as Director of Global Commercial Development for the Neuroscience Franchise at Jazz Pharmaceuticals. In this role, he was responsible for planning and directing all pre-commercialization activities and global expansion efforts for molecules within Jazz’s Neuroscience portfolio.  Additionally, Todd helped found and lead the organization’s Digital Health Working Group which leveraged innovative technologies and data-driven solutions to address critical business issues within the company like the need for digital diagnostic tools, wearable devices, digital biomarker identification and decentralized clinical trials.
 
Prior to Commercial Development, Todd led the Consumer Marketing team at Jazz and was responsible for strategic development on various launches and indication expansions and oversaw the company’s REMS implementation for the commercial business. Todd has also held a number of other management roles in Sales Training and Leadership Development, Sales Management, Business Analytics and Sales.
  
Todd received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Biology from East Carolina University and MBA from Penn State University.  Before his career in the pharmaceutical industry, Todd was a member of the United States Army reserve where he was an Honor Graduate from the United States Army Medical Department Center and School at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonino, TX.  There, he trained and worked as a Surgical Technologists as well as numerous subsequent military bases including Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC and Womack Army Medical Center at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, NC. Todd is also a retired City Councilperson in his hometown of Lancaster, PA where he served and led numerous Boards over his career.
 
Todd resides in Lancaster, PA with his wife (Valerie), 4 children (Lily, Maya, Lincoln and Jonah), Bailey the puppy and a bearded dragon named Gizmo.  Todd enjoys traveling with his family, reading, running and recently spent a week hiking the Appalachian Trail. Todd has always had an entrepreneurial spirit having started an investment group with a few friends years ago, which has grown to include a recording studio, independent movie theater, restaurant and distillery.
