Vanessa Yanek, Clinical Research Associate II (MAPS PBC)

Vanessa earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and women’s studies in 2015 from Florida International University and, a master’s degree in project management in 2019 from Florida Institute of Technology. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in public health practice from the University of South Florida. Prior to joining MAPS Public Benefit Corporation (MPBC), Vanessa started her research career at the University of Miami as a research assistant and then worked at the Miami Cancer Institute as a clinical research coordinator for oncology studies. She previously was a CRA at ICON/DOCS where she monitored and managed primarily Oncology studies. Vanessa also worked as a CRA at the University of South Florida where she primarily monitored Type 1 Diabetes studies.

At MPBC, Vanessa is currently serving as CRA, supporting the Phase 3 Expanded Access Program. Vanessa is excited to apply her previous experiences in the research field to help finding new treatments for mental health.

Vanessa lives in sunny Clearwater Beach on Florida’s Sun Coast with her husband, two kids, and mother. In Vanessa’s free time she enjoys boating, watching baking shows, baking too many sweets, and playing video games with her family.
