Our Swiss MDMA/PTSD study collected video from nearly all of the sessions with treatment subjects. We are now preparing a method to archive the videos for future research purposes. This collection of video footage is a wealth of information about therapy techniques and subjects’ responses to MDMA-assisted psychotherapy. The archives will allow future researchers to do post-hoc analysis on the videos from a third-party perspective. These researchers may or may not be directly affiliated with MAPS. For example, this dataset could prove invaluable to Ph.D. dissertations or other scientific studies. We are currently investigating methods to duplicate and archive all this video data, which will be time-consuming and presumably costly.
