On December 23, 2013, the results of our completed Swiss study of LSD-assisted psychotherapy for anxiety associated with life-threatening illness were accepted for publication in the peer-reviewed Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease. This will be the first paper published about a new study of LSD-assisted psychotherapy in over 40 years! This double-blind, placebo-controlled pilot study in 12 subjects found positive trends in the reduction of anxiety following two LSD-assisted psychotherapy sessions. The study results also indicate that LSD-assisted psychotherapy can be safely administered in these subjects, and justify further research.
