People with PTSD continue to have intense, disturbing thoughts and feelings related to their experience that last long after the traumatic event has ended. Sufferers often struggle to maintain healthy lives and relationships.

How many people have PTSD?

Every year in the U.S., 8 million people are suffering from PTSD. Approximately 27% of suicides in the U.S. are associated with PTSD.

What is psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy?

Psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy refers to aiding the psychotherapeutic process with the use of psychedelic substances such as LSD, MDMA, psilocybin, ibogaine, and ayahuasca.

How does MDMA-assisted psychotherapy help?

MDMA allows those with PTSD to engage with their trauma without a fear response. It increases positive feelings of trust and compassion towards the self and others. In our completed Phase 2 trials with 107 participants, 61% no longer qualified for PTSD after three sessions of MDMA-assisted psychotherapy two months following treatment. All participants had suffered from PTSD for an average of 17.8 years.
