How did scientists overcome the political suppression of psychedelic research?

MAPS Founder and Executive Director Rick Doblin, Ph.D., will explore the cultural impact of LSD, and share how decades of connecting with psychedelic luminaries and researchers led to MAPS sponsoring the first double-blind, placebo-controlled study of the therapeutic use of LSD in human beings since the early 1970s. This Phase 2 pilot study with 12 participants was completed in 2014, and found positive trends in the reduction of anxiety following two LSD-assisted psychotherapy sessions.
