Fantastic Fungi: Film Screening on June 6 (Austin, Texas)

Join MAPS for a special film screening of Fantastic Fungi, an important scientific exploration and visual journey through the exotic, little-known realm of fungi. Featuring interviews with well-known figures like Paul Stamets, Michael Pollan, and Andrew Weil, this film is directed by Louie Schwartzberg, an award-winning master of nature imagery, special-effects cinematography, and storytelling that is both informative and inspiring. A portion of proceeds from the event benefit MAPS. Liana Sananda Gillooly from MAPS will be hosting this event.

Louie Schwartzberg is a director and cinematographer whose career spans more than four decades of providing breathtaking imagery using his time-lapse, high-speed, and macro cinematography techniques. Schwartzberg tells stories that celebrate life, revealing the mysteries and wisdom of nature, people, and places.
