The Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) and the Zendo Project have released over 20-hours of videos from their Entheogeneration speaker series.

Hosted by the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) and the Zendo Project, the Entheogeneration speaker series launched at Burning Man 2019. The series covers a wide variety of educational presentations featuring topics that explore the latest research and healing opportunities for humanity, how to address issues of inclusion and access, strategies to protect indigenous plant medicine traditions and more, from the brightest leaders active in the field today.

For those unfamiliar, the Zendo Project focuses on “Psychedelic Harm Reduction” by
“Co-Creating Communities of Compassionate Care.” Zendo offers well-respected on-site services at festivals and events to assist those having a difficult experience. Their volunteers are trained in “trip sitting” and similar peer-based techniques making them approachable to anyone in need.

The Entheogeneration speaker series includes the most comprehensive coverage of psychedelic studies we’ve ever seen at Burning Man.

The series was held over four days and covered three main tracks:

  1. Major Projects and Psychedelic Studies
  2. Mysticism, Spirit, and Visionary Art
  3. Plant Medicines, Indigenous and Marginalized Perspectives

With MAPS providing the science view and Zendo providing the cultural view, the Entheogeneration really runs the gambit of psychedelic use and study. There’s so much research happening today, including MDMA in PTSD psychotherapy, and so discussing these topics has become more important than ever. After years of underground science, these studies are becoming well respected in the scientific community and government is slowly warming to the idea of beneficial uses of psychedelics in controlled circumstances.
