In November 2021, over 2,050 donors gave $480,383 in donations and pledges. We are so grateful to these supporters who advance our shared vision of creating safe and legal opportunities for the beneficial uses of psychedelics.
Donors supported the following initiatives in November: general support ($467,786); publishing ($10,000); MDMA-related projects ($1,787); health equity ($510); ibogaine research ($250); and harm reduction ($50).
We extend a special thank you to our community of 1,102 monthly donors who contributed a total of $41,678 in November. Your support is vital in making MAPS’ programs sustainable.
In November, 10 individuals included MAPS in their legacy planning in the form of a planned gift or bequest. These gifts were made with the help of FreeWill, a free online tool that allows U.S.-based individuals to plan a legacy gift for the non-profit of their choosing.
MAPS is honored to support a number of mission-aligned organizations by providing fiscal sponsorship so that contributions for their social benefit projects may be tax-deductible as allowed by law. An additional $832,202 was donated to organizations that MAPS fiscally sponsors including: Indigenous Medicine Conservation Fund ($800,000); CIT Clinics ($25,000); North Star Project ($5,100); People of Color Psychedelic Collective ($1,345); The Psychedelic Renaissance ($615); Bluelight ($60); ICEERS ($60); MAPS Canada ($20); and Kahpi ($2).

The Alma Institute is a Portland, Oregon based non-profit educational organization working to establish an approved psilocybin facilitator training program in compliance with the Oregon Psilocybin Services Act. This comprehensive training will prepare students to apply for state licensure as legal psilocybin session facilitators beginning in 2023. With a focus on affordability and accessibility, the program will have robust scholarship offerings and flexible pricing and scheduling, as part of a multi-pronged effort to diversify the psychedelic field and remove barriers to folks from historically marginalized populations. The Indigenous Medicine Conservation Fund (IMCF) works to strengthen Indigenous communities in their efforts to conserve the plant medicines and traditional knowledge they rely on for their healing and cultural survival. Through funding, trusted partnerships, and strategic engagement, IMCF aims to ensure that Indigenous medicine peoples are fortified to successfully navigate mounting pressures from psychedelic interest and ecological crises.
