March 2022 Giving Report: Donors Give Over $285,000 to Psychedelic Research and Education

In March 2022, over 1,200 donors gave $285,690 in donations and pledges. We are so grateful to these supporters who advance our shared vision of creating safe and legal opportunities for the beneficial uses of psychedelics.

Donors supported the following initiatives in March: MDMA-related projects ($202,124); general support ($82,993); harm reduction ($323); and ibogaine research ($250).

We extend a special thank you to our community of 918 monthly donors who contributed a total of $30,021 in March. Your support is vital in making MAPS’ programs sustainable.

In March, one individual included MAPS in their legacy planning in the form of a planned gift or bequest. This gift was made with the help of FreeWill, a free online tool that allows US-based individuals to plan a legacy gift for the non-profit of their choosing.

MAPS is honored to support a number of mission-aligned organizations by providing fiscal sponsorship so that contributions for their social benefit projects may be tax-deductible as allowed by law. An additional $66,955 was donated to organizations that MAPS fiscally sponsors including: ICEERS ($50,000); Better Living Through Chemistry ($11,028); Brooklyn Psychedelic Society ($3,000); Empyrean Temple ($2,535); Alma Institute ($150); Psykia Institute ($100); North Star Project ($50); The Psychedelic Renaissance ($30); Bluelight ($30); MAPS Canada ($20); People of Color Psychedelic Collective ($10); and Kahpi ($2).
