Since its inception in 1999, the GPCR Retreat has been one of the premier international forums where academic and industry scientists share recent findings and innovative ideas to understand how G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) regulate physiological functions and disease. As the largest family of membrane receptors, GPCRs are targeted by over 30% of currently prescribed drugs.
This class will therefore remain the focus of fundamental molecular pharmacology and drug development activities for the foreseeable future. For this landmark 25th edition, the conference will be held in London, Ontario, the site of the first meeting in 1999.
Confirmed outstanding speakers include Brian Kobilka (Stanford University), Dr. Yulong Li (Peking University), Dr. Jurgen Wess (NIH), and Dr. Bryan Roth (UNC Chapel Hill), leaders in the field of cell, structural, and molecular pharmacology of GPCR. The 2026 GPCR Retreat will be the first to feature a session on the pharmacology of psychedelics.
