Embodying the Erotic with Sex & Psychedelics Magazine

  • June 20, 2026

Location

The Alembic, Berkeley CA US

This all-day gathering moves from inquiry to embodiment to celebration. Presented by Sex & Psychedelics Magazine, the event brings together clinicians, facilitators, artists, and community members for a day exploring the intersection of somatics, sexuality, psychedelics, and healing. The afternoon program offers three panels and three embodiment workshops — spacious, intentional, and designed so you can be fully present for what you choose. Topics span body-based healing, somatic approaches to psychedelic work, ecosexuality, shadow work, and more. A tea lounge with platonic touch and herbal tea, and an integration room with tarot, reiki, and energy work, will be open all day. Facilitators and panelists to be announced shortly. As the day turns to night, the space transforms into a consent-forward celebration — dance, curated music, and low lighting. Dress for your body’s delight. A dedicated eco exploration room invites participants into guided sensory play with elements of the natural world. Chill-out spaces remain open for rest and integration throughout the evening. Sex & Psychedelics brings together two provocative and transformative subjects in dynamic forums. Our annual print magazine, immersive workshops, and curated gatherings offer spaces where curious seekers can share stories, explore research, and engage with art. Our mission is to ignite personal empowerment, strengthen community bonds, and challenge societal norms by platforming this momentous cultural movement. Founded by a collective of queer, neurodiverse, sex-positive creatives and clinicians—Sura Hertzberg, AMFT; Emily Savage; Olivia Clear, LPCC; and James Belle Guest—our work spans therapy, psychedelic facilitation, somatic practice, publishing, and community event curation. Contributors include Annie Sprinkle and Beth Stephens, Penny Slinger, Mark Henson, Britta Love, Mama de la Myco, David Jay Brown, and many others. We’re stocked in New York, San Francisco, Paris, Berlin, and London, and have partnered with MAPS, Horizons PBC, the Museum of Sex, and She Bop. We are lovers of this work in all forms—the juicy stuff, the taboos, the edges. The most meaningful stories are often those pushed to the margins or relegated to the shadows. We aim to make space for these stories, bringing them into the light with intention, consent, and care.
