Annie explains that “for a long time, there was not much about any kind of intersectionality or identity in any of the questionnaires or preparation sessions” of the clinical trial process. “And there is probably still not enough of it.”
“It is clear that there are topics that people may not feel safe or may be hesitant to talk about without an invitation to do so,” adds Michael. “We need to get better at making it clear that these topics are safe to bring into the therapy space.”
