This historically significant and fully functional sensory deprivation tank given by Dr. John Lilly to Timothy Leary is up for auction on eBay, with proceeds going to support MAPS research.
Physician, neuroscientist, psychoanalyst, and isolation tank inventor Dr. John C. Lilly gave the tank to his fellow psychedelic researcher Leary as a gift to help him explore and perhaps ease his end-of-life anxiety. Leary then gave the tank to light painter Dean Chamberlain.
