“Psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy is certainly no quick fix,” write authors of an article in Frontiers in Psychiatry that evaluates the potential role of psychedelic-assisted therapy in the treatment of pandemic-related stress and trauma disorders. “However, the therapeutic use of psychedelics such as psilocybin and MDMA, carefully and thoughtfully integrated into existing evidence-based interventions denotes one of the most promising paths forward.”
