New York Times Opinion: The World’s View on Drugs is Changing

On today’s episode of The Argument, a weekly show from New York Times Opinion, MAPS Director of Policy and Advocacy Ismail L. Ali, J.D., joins host Jane Coaston to discuss the difference between the decriminalization and legalization of drugs, evolving public perspective about psychedelics, and other critical concerns relating to drug policy. Ali explains that “while we’re focusing primarily on MDMA, it’s absolutely the case that one of the large goals and value systems that MAPS has utilized over the last 35 years is toward legal, regulated access for psychedelic substances, and specifically, in a legal, medical, or cultural context.”
