New research shows how psychedelic drug can help people with PTSD
MDMA, also known as Ecstasy, is known mainly as a club or street drug. But now it’s being touted as a medicine for people struggling with severe depression and PTSD. The FDA is designating it a “breakthrough therapy” after early trials. TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie spoke to two patients whose lives have been changed by the therapy.
