WPR: UW-Madison Launches Center to Study Psychedelic Drugs for Use in Mental Health Treatment

Summary: The University of Wisconsin-Madison Transdisciplinary Center for Research in Psychoactive Substances aims to “build on ongoing pharmacological research into psychedelic compounds by bringing in perspectives from other fields” and “improve the diversity of individuals participating in psychoactive drug treatment trails.”

Paul Hutson, Pharm.D., Founding Director of the new center, says that the “effects of adding MDMA to psychotherapy are truly dramatic.”
