Whitney Wilhelmy, Manager, Executive Communications to Rick Doblin, Ph.D.

Whitney Wilhelmy first encountered MAPS at the University of California, Berkeley, where she studied cognitive science with a focus on neuroscience. She began volunteering with the Zendo Project in 2017, providing compassionate psychedelic peer support through the lens of harm reduction at festivals. Upon earning her degree in 2019, she joined MAPS as a full-time staff member in the Communications and Marketing department. From 2020 to 2022, she managed the social media profiles of MAPS, MAPS Public Benefit Corporation (MAPS PBC), Rick Doblin, and Zendo Project.

In 2022, Whitney transitioned to supporting MAPS Founder and President Rick Doblin, Ph.D., focusing on his international speaking engagements, presentations, and multifaceted projects. She is energized by the challenge of communicating psychedelic complexities with precision and care, balancing structure with adaptability in an ever-evolving ecosystem. While she primarily works remotely, Whitney values opportunities to collaborate in person with her inspiring colleagues.
