Dr. Mithoefer received a call from DEA indicating they have not received the official reply from FDA yet in response to their request for a consultation. However, they know that FDA recommended that he be given a Schedule I license and as soon as DEA receives the official reply, they “will be issuing” his Schedule I license. This is the first time we have heard from the DEA that Dr. Mithoefer will receive his license and the study will be able to move forward.
