Jennifer Ellis, VP of People and Operations

Jennifer serves as MAPS’ VP of People & Operations. In her role at MAPS, Jennifer is responsible for the development and implementation of intentional and effective people strategies in support of MAPS’ mission, values, and guiding principles. She also oversees the learning and development of MAPS’ leaders, and manages the operational leadership, specifically supporting MAPS’ JEDI, strategy, volunteer, and technology initiatives. Jennifer is an executive level operational advisor in both for-profit and nonprofit workspaces. Previously, Jennifer was an employment law attorney, as well as the Vice President of the Board of Directors for her local legal aid.

Jennifer is passionate about understanding the whole human experience. She strives to design a work environment that reinforces work-life presence. She is deeply committed to cultivating more inclusion and belonging within diverse work ecosystems. Jennifer is trained in Conscious Communication, a technique rooted in active listening and intentional speaking. When not supporting the People of MAPS, Jennifer enjoys living her life on her family’s alpaca ranch/retreat center in the mountains of Colorado.
