Jesse Ward, Associate Director of Development

Jesse was drawn to MAPS because of the power of psychedelics for positive healing and transformation on the individual and societal level. Prior to joining MAPS in 2023, he led fundraising efforts at the African Wildlife Foundation, Mozilla Foundation, and the Pacific Council on International Policy. While these organizations sought to mitigate the harm caused by a troubled society, Jesse felt that even more could be done to address the root cause of the suffering and harm we see in the world today. Jesse believes that MAPS will be instrumental in achieving truly transformative change and personal healing and is honored to be a part of the organization.

In his role as Associate Director of Annual Giving, Jesse leads efforts to expand philanthropic support for MAPS’ groundbreaking work. Jesse’s approach to fundraising is to deepen people’s connection to the amazing work at MAPS. Outside of work, Jesse tries to enjoy the great outdoors with his spouse and two cats in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
