Matt is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan and joined MAPS in 2022 with a passion for the vision of mass mental health. He obtained a B.A. in political science from Hope College, and a M.Ed. in nonprofit leadership from Belmont University where he completed research on adopting social enterprise as a sustainable source of revenue for nonprofit organizations. Matt has over a decade of nonprofit experience, serving in marketing and development roles, as an executive director, as a nonprofit consultant, and as a board member. Matt has supported causes related to international development and health, refugee resettlement and education, and homelessness – he is thrilled to be bringing the knowledge and skills gained over the years to support MAPS’ groundbreaking research by cultivating relationships with visionary donors from around the world.
